I ran in to ther same thing my generator Oanan emrald 4000 watts rewired it to 220 tried my buzz box I could turn it on but coulden't strike an arc with ut tripping breaker, sold the buzz box (A whole $25.00)
and got the maxstar after T tried a friends. the whole kit weighs about 50 lbs. runs on 120 or 220v generator runs it just fine.
