Well I have sold the last project (towable backhoe) and on to a new one. I have purchased a Yanmar YM146 (neat little tractor) and am going to mount a hydraulic pump on the front end of the tractor. The front has an electric PTO clutch (not working) and no room for a hydraulic pump in front of it. (for a jaw coupler) Soooo I would like to mount next to it (above it) etc.... and run off the crankshaft via belt drive (more forgiving than chain). I would like to use the non functioning pto clutch and simply lock it up so it revolves all the time and hook to an open system hydraulic pump setup.
This seems to be the easiest solution to me but I am sure I am missing something. By the way I do know there is an existing small hydraulic pump on the engine (not working also) but it is out of commission and too small (and old) to utilize anyway in my opinion.
Attached is a pic of the last project in its new home.
Thoughts?
