I can think of several reasons. Standing up to see the position of the forks is but one of the several. My seat switch is rendered "normally closed".I get on and off too many times and want the engine to stay running to have it any other way.
And yes, if it wasn't such a bother (and that it holds my flashers, work light, and chainsaw holder) I would remove the ROPS too.![]()
I heard that one way to do this is with a piece of light gauge wire through the holes in the terminal tabs on the switch, but I've never done this nor can I recommend this
