Old Dirt Digger
New member
Well the time has come for the 63 yr old retired guy to get his first tractor. Even though my handle is "Old Dirt Digger" I confess I'm new to the dirt. The wife and I have moved from the Puget Sound Area to our retirement home in NorthEastern Washington State on 10 hillside rocky acres. We want to clean out most of the underbrush, plant trees, maintain about 500 ft of steep access road, dig out about 25 tree stumps, dig a fish pond, set at least 75 fence posts, plow winter snow, etc... I've gained a lot of insight reading many valuable posts input by many of you. And I hope to contribute also, as I gain experience using the equipment.
My newly aquired outfit is as follows:
2007 Kubota L4740 HST-plus; R4 tires; LA854 loader, HD QA loader bucket, tooth bar & 3 hooks; ANBO GR-M 6 ft Grapple; McMillen X1475 Skid Steer Hyd Post Hole Digger, 12" & 30" Tree Auger; 3rd front remote; 3 rear remotes; Top N Tilt Kit; Land Pride BB2572 Box Scrapper; Land Pride RBT3584 3-way Hyd Rear Blade; Kubota BH90 Backhoe, 16" & 25" buckets. whew! also the canopy; aux front & rear lights & a block heater. With all this, there is now NO excuse for me to not get some dirt work done around here.
I will post some pictures soon as I get all this set up and running...
