Glad you got them off, I have one of the fuel brushless impacts , use it all the time. I didn’t have it yet when I changed the last set of blades but I need to remove all four on my twin spindle in a few weeks to clean them up, obviously it will be the first tried. As for the blade bar nut sounds as if either the cotter key was never installed or it came out and the nut worked loose. That’s a tapered shaft on the gearbox so the nut backing off a small amount could make it wobble quite a bit, hope it’s that simple of a fix for you.

that's what has me worried that it's not gonna be a simple fix: The cotter key was installed.

So why is the blade bar so loose?

Won't really know until the 46 mm socket gets here.

Those new battery powered impacts are amazing. My DeWalt 1/2in impact laughs at crank pulley bolts and hasn’t failed to take off any bolt I’ve tried it on yet.

Page 11 shows blade bolt torque is 450 ft/lbs.

Both of them do. One of them is messed up, probably the one that spun and we had to use the pipe wrench on.
