So, she arrived yesterday around 5 and so far I have put 0.6 hours on her. Little difficult working around naps. Anyway, what I have done is take cutter off, put BB on, use BB to flatten an anthill, take BB off, put mower on. That is now the sum total of my tractoring experience. From that experience, these things I now understand.
Why is Top and Tilt so cool? Why is it imperative to have large pry bar if no TnT? Why there are actually threads on doing Laundry on a tractor board? Why it is so hard to stop smiling? Why neighbors you have never met will all of a sudden be smiling and waving?
That last one cracked me up. Guy was dropping off the tractor and implements yesterday when the new neighbor came runnining down my driveway after him. When he stopped, she asked him if he would be willing to mow her yard as well. He looked at me and smiled and I said, well, I just bought it, can you let me learn where the key goes first? I had the machine four minutes and she is already throwing money at me telling me she would pay. Hadn't thought about that aspect and don't have the insurance for commercial work so if I do it it will have to be for free. Once.
In two days I have two greasy pairs of Levis. I'm a slow learner but I don't think I'll mess up a third pair. At least not for a week.
So, how many times do you guys pinch a finger? I haven't yet but that is purely dumb luck. It'll happen, I can see it in my future.
