I would wait on putting a different grade of oil in. Stick with a 10W30 or 15W40 would be my suggestion. Synthetic is fine. I use Redline 10W30. One thing about Redline is that when you change it, the oil comes out somewhat black but unlike conventional oil, it does not discolor your hands or ground. It wipes of very easily with a rag. It's very peculiar the way it behaves. I have not seen anything like it. It's also $7.75 a quart which for the BX is fine since it uses so little. My tractor takes 8 quarts and then some. Rat...
