Oil change filters & oil 2538

Yeah imo id just schedule a full service once a year if in the south may be able to get away with every other year on Hydraulics if in dryer climate

I bought the tractor with 82hrs and the original owner said it was serviced at 50hrs, but i did notice after I got it the oil filter was a touch loose and would drip, I tightened it and figured I add oil, but wasn't sure what kind of oil was used, and so I might as well change engine oil and maybe even hydro oil, just so I know when it's been done for sure

50 hour service includes all fluids and filters. Paying for an oil analysis may save you money in the long run. I was a habitual over servicer until I saw a few sample results. Oil lasts a long time! Odds are you are over doing this.

The manual for a 2538 says 10w-30, I see some other guys using 15w-40, I'm in upstate NY, it does get below zero but not alot, would either weight be ok, I see tractor supply has a sale going on right now for 2.5gallons of rotella T4 15w-40 for $30,,
