good idea, been doing that lately. (along w/maintenance log) i usually go by hrs, not calendar... so on black filters (on most of my mowers, etc) how do you mark? on white duct? just asking :)

Fall - after you have ran it awhile. Why let it sit with old oil in the motor. Ready for spring with new oil ready to go.

knife on a black filter shows up and stays for the life of filter.

I use a label maker with date and hours. White tape with black letters.

Silver sharpie or white paint marker. Masking tape also works.

I am a fall oil changer, unless it needs being done sooner due to hours. I do use my tractor all year though.
