Has anyone found an after market oil filter for a 2815/3215 HST? Wix has filters for many Mahindra models but not the S3L3 Mitsu engine.. I never could find a cap wrench that fit the OEM filter and now after the loader bracket up grade my spanner wrench won't fit.. Plus $17 is a little steep for that simple OEM spin on filter..

I used a Wix 51348($5.99) last time I changed my oil on my 3215. $17 not a bad price for the OEM, I've paid $22.

Thanks, that is one of the Wix numbers I looked at but their application chart doesn't show it for the Mahindra/Mitsu. When I got the tractor in 08 I ran a Wix list for all the filters, it showed 51356 for the oil. That must have been an error because it's no longer on their web site. Lots of filters for the S3L2 engine but the only filter they show now for the S3L3 is a hydraulic. The OEM is most likely a Denso, good filters but not worth 3 times the cost of a Wix. If the 51348 fit and is working on yours I will give it a try.

The first OEM filter I bought for the tractor in '07 was a Mitsubishi part#31s94-02160. After that the OEM part was a Nippon Denso #115010-5350. The Wix works fine.

Thanks to yall I went to Napa today and got there 1348 Gold oil filter today and changed the oil in my 3316 at 50 hours. My dealer has gone out of bussiness just about a month after I bought my tractor. The closest dealer I know of is about 1 1/2 hours away so this saved me a lot of time and expence.
Thanks again,
Old Papa

I use the Napa 1356. The 1348 and 1356 are pretty close. Either will work. My local NAPA closed down so I got all of mine on-line at Fleet Filter.

The 51356 is what I use in my Titan pick up. I was concerned when it showed up on the Wix site in 08 for the 2815 because the diameter is quite a bit less than the OEM. If the smaller gasket still seals it must be OK but at O'reillys the other day it cost me $7.49 vs $6.29 for the bigger 51348. Either one is still a real bargain compared to the Denso.

Thats about the price I pay for my oil filter for a 5500 4x4, I get it at O'reilly's. I have my name in there system, so when I go up there to buy another oil filter, they have the part # under my name, due to I cant remeber anything. It's a Wix's also.
