I'd follow whatever oil your dealer/manual calls for, and make sure you stick to the schedule..perhaps even under hour it a bit. If first chage is 50.. don't go over 50.. change it at before your next use that would pop it over. And then I'd use the manufacturer specced oil till it was out of warranty. Same with the filters too. I'd hate to dicker with a warranty on a new tractor because they questioned a filter or oil I used.. even though it will be hard to by a 'bad' ouil these days.
