Oh no-no-no, not possible. Never any hot air around my 57 chevy !!!

Sure could use some soon. Noreaster's a howling with 20 cm. of snow down and 20 more to come. Three foot drifts blocking the back and basement doors this morning. Whole province shut down.

Dag gum Billy; here you've been a fooling us all. That white chevy is just a soaking up the hot air.

Now I have to think about several hours clearing the drive in town and the 1/2 kilometer access road to the farm.

Why is it when it is falling that it accumulates to 20 cm. and once it is blocking something the measurement changes to feet????

Did anyone else experience the early 80's GM flat camshafts?

The first new car I bought was an '80 Chev Citation with 4 speed and 'Iron Duke' 4 cylinder. That 151ci engine was reputed to be half of a Chev V8.

By 35k miles the car had little power and the dealer diagnosed that some cam lobes were going flat. I was told the camshafts wore out on everything GM built that year due to incompatibility with the latest motor oil; the type recommended in the owner's manual.

Whether this oil story was true or not I've never bought another GM vehicle. I've driven everything else, whether I bought it new or used, to an average 135 k miles / 15 years age without an oil related problem. I think this shows my experience on the Citation was not user abuse so it had to be design error or bad lubricant recommendations.
