OK, I've screwed up....LS190 NH

I removed the injection pump from a LS190 NH for a rebuild of pump without knowing there is no positive way to reinstall pump in gear. They are using a setup much like old Cat stuff with just a taper on the shaft and inside gear with pressure from a nut that holds shaft in the correct place inside gear (no keyway, no splines, shaft could be anywhere inside gear and out of time).

You have probably guessed my question by now, how to get engine on TDC and pump at #1. Thanks
