Well, it has been a slow go as I am working on it myself outside so the heat has been hampering me. I will confirm that when you lose the hydraulic pump that is mounted outside of the transmission and sits above the suction tube where the mesh screen is you lose HST, power steering, and hydraulics to the loader, 3pt lift, and backhoe. Fluid is pulled up from reservoir via the suction tube, from there it goes through the pump and out to the power steering and loader control, the return from these is attached to the transmission case where it flows through internal piping to the filter inlet, the filter outlet flows internally to the input/suction port of the HST, the output from the HST dumps back into the transmission case at the top of the HST. I hope this is clear and can help someone else. I got the tractor running today and mounted the loader and it worked great, the power steering worked, the HST worked, the 4WD worked, and the Hi/Lo range worked. What didn't work? The mid and rear PTO have a noisy ticking, sounds like a gear isn't meshing correctly. And my 3pt lift isn't working which also means I am not getting any hydraulics to the backhoe. I have checked the linkage to the 3pt raise/lower lever and it is hooked up and moving the control. I haven't researched it yet but I am thinking a stuck bypass valve or pressure relief valve. One step at a time.
