Forks OK Just how useful and essential are Pallet Forks

I don't have a set (yet) and every time I do something seems like I need them. I had a set for my SS, and sold them when I sold it to buy the tractor. They are next on my acquisition list.

Just a few,
Painting the house trim and pruning trees, moving down trees and brush and they make a pretty nice welding table.

I use my forks all the time. Possibly more then the bucket. If you have SSQA then I would definitely get the forks

I have forks and use them all the time, but only 10% of the time on pallets.

You have the grapple, which will handle many of the things that are not pallets. But the forks will move things that the grapple can't without doing damage.

So If you can afford them, get them You will definitely use them.

I just bought my first set about two months ago. I find them handy, but not essential, so I guess it comes down to finances.

They are pretty straight forward in design with some on here having made their own at least in part, so while I usually buy only Woods or Land Pride, I got an "off brand" carried by my Kubota dealer. They were about $350 cheaper than LP they said they have never even seen a set of LP come through there.

Unlike others, I couldn't find any good used ones, but sure would have bought them if I could.

I don't have them, but was wondering if anyone has used them to move round bales. If they work for round bales you could save the money from a spear and have a dual purpose implement.

They work great for round or large square bales.

My forks are on all the time. use them about 4:1 ratio over the bucket.

Mine stay on all the time unless I need the bucket. Used them just this morning to move a tree out of the road.

I was planning to get grapples and after advice on TBN I decided to get the forks first and then see if I really needed the grapples.

It's been a few years and I still don't have grapples. Maybe I need them and just don't know it.

I bought my diesel fuel in a 55 gallon barrel with a barrel pump. I kept it sitting on a pallet. So when I needed fuel, I just used the pallet forks to set barrel & pallet into the bed of my 3/4 ton truck, and then to unload it when I got back home. I never had a grapple.
