That was a funny video to watch but scary at the same time. Each one was an accident waiting to happen. When I was a kid my father taught me to shoot his 12 gauge with some half loads, even then I can remember how much that gun kicked (and hurt my shoulder). I wouldn't put a 12 gauge with buckshot or turkey load in the hands of a novice, man or woman just like I wouldn't put a 44 mag revolver in their hands either, without plenty of education and warnings first.
So I have to ask a question. If your wife was home alone and someone is trying to break in would you want her to open a locked door and exit the house to fire a blast (or two) into the air? Not me. I've always said make noise, where it's the TV on high, yelling, or getting the dogs barking. If that doesn't deter them then grab the Mini30 find a safe place to hide that offers you plenty of light in any direction anyone could come from. Once you see them shoot to kill. If that means 20 shots, so be it. Simply put if a criminal is not scared off knowing that someone is in the house and awake then they have every intentions of doing you harm.
