The Queen City Airport on Vultee Street. Right close by to the "old 5C Mack plant".The new museum location is in the Mack Customer Center which is closer to downtown Allentown-and the small airport as opposed to the big airport which is out off Rt. 22. The complex besides the museum I believe serves as a technical center and it is also the mod facility where trucks built in the Macungie plant get special equipment added to them. Worth a visit if you are ever in the Allentown area-just check the Mack website for museum hours.
Ya, pretty much, though it's kinda hard to tell from that pic. The 9000's were a little more "stubby" and compact, narrower hood..
White and Western Star are 2 different manufacturers, always have been. White motors (originally from Cleveland) and Western Star shared components but that's it. Western Star was in Kolona, British Columbia.
White was a fleet truck whereas Western Star was an owners operators truck.
