I bought an old double bottom plow with welded on cat 1 pins, started to attach it today for the first time and the cat 1 pins are too short for my cat 2 hitch- the retaining hole is partially hidden inside the hitch ball and I can't get a pin through.
I have an assortment of both sizes and use the sleeves to adjust.
I know I can cut/weld- or drill out the hole, but do they make an adapter that will pin on the cat 1 pin and allow me to connect my cat 2 hitch?

From your description I think your going to have to cut those off and weld new pins on

Agreed. Get longer Cat 1 pins at your local tractor dealer and after removing the short ones - weld on the new longer ones.

Never seen one and image search didn't find any.

One could be made, bored out to 7/8", that would slide over and pin to the cat 1 pin and go in the cat 2 socket.

Again I would just cut or remove old pins and install cat 2

Weld on a longer cat2 to cat 1 reducing sleeve with a hole drilled in it for the pin. No hole necessary if using quick hitch of course.

OR

Not ideal, but use the way it is with a smaller diameter lynch pin or grade 8 bolt if there’s enough room.
