Old rotary cutter, tail wheel assembly?

This is my father in law's. I have been trying to keep up his place and it's gotten to the point that it's really difficult to use it like this. How would I go about finding parts for it. The biggest need is the whole tail wheel/yoke assembly.

I bought 4 caster wheels for my finish mower from them.

That's an odd set up. What is the diameter of the shank?

Whatever you buy, you will probably have to weld an extension on to it (standard shanks are 5"-6"long and generally 1 1/4" in diameter).

Yeah it's a monster. I wish I knew the manufacturer, but any info that would have been on it has probably been worn off for 40 years. I'll measure it all up next time I'm over there.

It's at the bottom of the adjustment pins so a replacement shank may work without modification. I'd guess 1 1/2" shank with a 4x15" laminated wheel. Looks like a sleeve may need to be put back in place?

You can likely find replacement bearings and bushings for the tail wheel center. If the yoke post and its housing is in decent shape, you might get another cutting season out of it.
