See attached web link from today's online Washington Times with more ominous news of potentially devastating terrorist attacks coming in the near future. Why aren't we hearing about this on the TV news programs?

Here's another link that corroborates the Washington Times piece and provides a bit more of intelligence and analysis. Again, why isn't Tom Brokaw and Peter Jennings talking about this on the Nightly News?

I don't know Rancar...the Washington Times piece makes it sound as if the FBI couln't find any real evidence of the "invasion", and who the heck is DEBKA? Whoever DEBKA is, they seem to mainly quote themselves...not necessarilly a bad thing, but I don't know anything about them. I would imagine there are all kinds of such reports out there and deciding which are real is a chore. I expect the US will see more terrorist attacks. We'll see many more unfounded rumors. I guess our best hope is that the Powers That Be are better able to sort them out now than they have been in the recent past.

Art Bell, on his Coast to Coast program, is always complaining that he has to get his news from the BBC.. things that are never reported by U.S. news agencies. I dunno.. but I hesitate to trust anything I hear on the news. :-(

JUST MY OPINION we HAVE a leader as president who is conservative... the liberals have been in control for 45 years, the mainstream news is controlled and ran by.....Liberals... they want to make a leader who can not be CONTROLLED by the Good ole boys look as if he were blind to the " safety " that only THEY can provide. sorry but I am angry at where we as americans have become complacent as a majority and are looking to " master " to solve our every personal delima... whew I need to stop sorry if I offend....MAKE GOOD CHOICES AND LIVE FREEEEEE !!!!!

Amen....no, don't stop....you're thinking in the right direction. What disturbs me is our leaders only seem to release enough information to the public in amounts that the public can handle. We're no different from them and likely much better with a tougher intestinal fortitude because the little guy in most cases isn't raised with silver spoons in their mouths. The common folk can handle truth a lot better than deception and misinformation...an important truth our leaders haven't fully recognized.

Respectfully I disagree.

I consider the Washington Times comparable to the The Enquirer. One tells us what we suspect about the government and our neighbors. The other tells us what we suspect about celebrities.

I have found I have to read a cross section of papers and/or watch a cross section of television to get the overall scoop. Even then, it is clear that much is skimmed over. The truth can be elusive....especially as filtered by the liberal media!

1. The Wall Street Journal is read by the people who run the country.

2. The New York Times is read by people who think they run the country.

3. The Washington Post is read by people who think they should run the country.

4. USA Today is read by people who think they ought to run the country but don't really understand the Washington Post. They do, however, like their smog statistics shown in pie charts.

5. The Los Angeles Times is read by people who wouldn't mind running the country, if they could spare the time, and if they didn't have to leave L.A. to do it.

6. The Boston Globe is read by people whose parents used to run the country and they did a far superior job of it, thank you very much.

7. The New York Daily News is read by people who aren't too sure who's running the country, and don't really care as long as they can get a seat on the train.

8. The New York Post is read by people who don't care who's running the country either, as long as they do something really scandalous, preferably while intoxicated.

9. The San Francisco Chronicle is read by people who aren't sure there is a country, or that anyone is running it; but whoever it is, they oppose all that they stand for. There are occasional exceptions if the leaders are handicapped, minority, feminist, atheist ,dwarfs, who also happen to be illegal aliens from ANY country or galaxy as long as they
are Democrats.

10. The Miami Herald is read by people who are running another country, but need the baseball scores to check their bets.

wasabi,

If you came up with that list and discription of the nations
newspapers all by your lonesome, you earned a A+ with a
couple of gold stars! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

HOWEVER, I think you might be a bit wrong. I read the
WSJ and I'll be danged if I'm much in charge of anything
at all! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif I do run my truck, tractor, and Stihls but
that is about it. Well, and my mouth! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
