Leaf blowers do a marginal job cleaning out radiators. High pressure air from a compressor has that “pencil point” stream I like much more concentrated. I’ve been using one for years. I often wonder why the Stihl type leaf blowers don’t offer a “cone” shaped nozzle that makes more of a pencil point stream of air.

I keep a Ryobi 18V compressor in the fifth wheel storage area and pull it out to do remote jobs around the house and farm when needed.

I've got over 20 tools that all use the same battery, so I've always got 4 or 5 batteries charged up and ready to go.

I bought the smaller 20v DeWalt with the smaller tip and it does ok, but nothing beats compressor air pressure for cleaning out radiators, blowing out a dirty hay baler, tires, too

a warning to anyone thinking of using anything other than a certified air tank for compressed air. air from an air compressor contains moisture, which if not drained regularly will rust the tank, causing an explosion! Aluminum tanks can't rust, so those are ok if certified for pressure.. a guy about 1/2 mile from me got killed from an air compressor tank explosion at his business, his tank rusted out because he never drained the water out, at least not often enough!..

I'm surprised this would happen at a business because here tanks used in business are inspected and require a permit to use.

Inspector uses a device to check the wall thickness and notes drain provisions... buying automatic blowdown valves has worked out well...

Interesting, is that someone from the city or a contractor?
I know we have a contractor out every so often at work who does something similar on our pressure vessels.

I’m starting to like the looks of the electric oasis compressor. 2 grand, but can be stowed easy, no fuel to worry about, engines, spark plugs, pull starts, etc and much quieter.
Need to start printing g money as well. :shocked:
