Yep. I wish Heavy Hitch made something heavy enough in cat.1 for this tractor, but they don’t. So, I have a plan:

1. Filling tires to 50% with Bio-Ballast = 400 lb. at 68” from front axle
2. Increasing current ballast box to 1100 lb. at 107” from front axle.
3. Weld weight bar to back of ballast box to carry up to nine 42 lb. suitcase weights, for up to 380 lb. additional at 115” from front axle.

All of these combined will put me at spec weight for this loader, for maximum capacity, or I can shed all but 400 lb. of it for doing lawn work. Or driving around with light loads in the bucket.

I think this is a reasonable compromise. I had considered doing 360 lb. of iron wheel weights, instead of the 50% BioBallast, but Deere wants $998.90 for those weights. The BioBallast is under $200.
