Once again TSC is back to selling - - - YANMAR TRACTORS, just like in 1978 !

I didn't know that TSC used to sell Yanmars. Yanmar's quality should reduce the need for major service.

I have two elderly Yanmars, each about 1980. Bought used, the first at 20 years old, the other at 30 years old.

Now at near 45 years old neither has ever been off the property, no dealer service needed. Run like new, look like h*** after decades left outdoors. (Before I bought them!).

There was a third one that I had for a short time then replaced when I found the same model but with a loader. It dyno tested as meeting its published specs at 30 years old.

(Yeah I know the modern models are more complex. But I think Yanmar is still continuing their traditional reliability that I've experienced).

Another no service after the sale retailer. Like Home Despot selling Echo chainsaws and power equipment. If you have warranty issues, you have to take it to an authorized servicing dealer...

Just so happens the Kubota dealer I work at part time IS a servicing dealer for Echo and Cub and typically, when one of those customers come in with an issue (warranty or not), they always go to the back of the line. Customers that purchased from them are always taken care of first. How it works. It's bizness.

My Echo dealer gave a small discount on the purchase of a chainsaw and pole saw I wouldn’t have gotten at a box store chain.

Just my personal opinion, but TSC prices aren’t discount prices unless they are running a special sale.

True. TSC pricing is quite high. I go there only in a pinch

Have a Echo dealer 2miles from the house and Hm Depot. My Echo shop is way up on my list of favorite. I feel Hm. Depot is The WallyMart world or Hardware stores. I have to be honest a PB500H was purchased from Hm. Depot. Receipt says on this day in 09. INK. 12/05 for a up coming B.day. I put many hrs. on that one and still have and works today!
It broke a piston ring and locked up. Stopped it dead so no Cyl. damage. Stopped in the Echo shop and replaced it with a PB580. so I have two. The smaller 500 still comes in handy But the 580 is a considerable upgrade. I had them repair a Husky 55 chainsaw. Carb. and muffler. The service was so good I bought a new to me CS-3510 smaller echo saw. Jan. of this yr. and not the first complaint with it.
Yanmar and it's reputation has always been on quality. Known that for decades!
I see a 10yr. warranty on all new Tractors so Serv. and repair can't be a issue. JMO..
My 1977 YM2000 I bought ASIS Org. from a Fredricks supplied dealer in Ga. 2008. Seat and muffler was replaced. I left a Chk. until I could get back with a trailer.
Quality and Serv. is a major factor. With all the other competitors in the market and use Yanmar shows and reflect that. Actually seen New Branson with Yanmar Engines in them.

Stop by a Home Despot and ask them if they would sharpen your saw chain and watch the blank looks...

...and I agree, TSC's prices aren't at all discounted unless it's an on sale item. The one thing they are good for is low priced bird seed, they even beat Menards on that. One thing I've learned about TSC and that is, most of their replacement parts for stuff comes in a shipping container and not competitively priced either.

TSC. May be 3 miles. Husqvarna Dealer also. Only a few models In stock but they did Have the chain available for the 55. They changed the drive teeth on the new models and the old style is hard to come across. The Closest Husqvarna dealer stopped selling Husky. and now is a Sthil dealer. TSC. had all the Maint. parts for Husqvarna but that was the last chain for the old style in stock. Lasted for Yrs. and the shop put a new chain on it. Not a Husky though but the correct Drive teeth so I was good with them replacing it.. Other than that TSC. corn for the Deer! Another reason I went with a new Echo.

They would try to sell you a sharpening kit.

TSC BOSS here is $22 for a 50-lbs bag.

Menards BOSS here is $18 for a 50-lbs bag. Also, their BOSS has less chaff debris in it.

The reason I didn’t buy one, was because of no dealer within a Tri state area. That has always been their weakness in the US. If I had a dealer close, for service, I wouldn’t need to buy at TSC.

Seems an odd marriage

Its probably just marketing, so they can say they put the tractor back in Tractor Supply Company! LOL
