One Last Tiller Question I Promise

Maybe I can get some pics on here for you to see what I'm talking about, if not forget you read this post /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif, any way I need you guys to look at these three different steups and tell which way you think is right. First pics if it worked, looks right, but the grease fitting or upside down, not that it matters, But. Thanks Robert

Second pic, same setup but look how close the arms coming off the bracket are to the top lift arms, it has some grease fittings covered up, and look how dirty the top of the bracket is, like it was on the bottom, the top is clean. Thanks Robert

Another setup, sorry guys just trying to get this right, I turned the bracket over, grease fittings on top, dirt on bottom, but the top link is now to short, could be the wrong one I guess. Thanks Robert

Ok guys last setup, took off the bracket and put a regular toplink on, looks like it might works this way, its just I would like to have it the right way, after all Yanmar uses this bracket for some reason. Thanks Robert

Just thinking out loud here, but I'm inclined to say thats the wrong bracket for your tractor......?...

I would probably just run the regular top link, but put it in the lowest hole possible on the tractor. This would allow a little better geometry to adjust the depth. Do you have rear wheels on the tiller? Is it like mine(just larger)?

Anyhow, like I said, just thinking... The other guys are surely more familliar than I am with that particular bracket.

Hey Greg I think its right, they took it off a 2610, but who know what went on in Japan, I never thought about it being wrong. It does have wheels, someone on here said get the one with wheels , so I paid a few more buck to get one with them, and it looks alot like yours, but instead of a wheel on top it has a lever that looks like a trailer jack. I will try to post a pic of it tomorrow. Thanks again Robert

Like I said, could be totally off base about it being the wrong one. The only reason I mention that is because of how low it appears in your 3rd(?) picture. I think that would be the right orientation, but it seems a little too low(like maybe 1 hole).. Good luck, I'll be interested in what the pro's think.. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have little experience with the larger tractors and tillers. BUT, what I do see, is that the PTO shaft looks short. I have seen several of them like that. They come apart when you raise them all the way up. It makes a mess. Go slow, check things as you go.

Hey Greg, yeah I was hoping someone would recognize the setup, and maybe tell me if its the right bracket, and the right setup, anyway until then I'm going with the last setup like you said, and like Kayssupply and you said also, slow and easy till I see how it works. Kayssupply I think your right too, but I marked the shaft then pulled it apart, and I have more the half, now if none of these setup are right, it my come apart, but I will watch it real close.
