One little Clean BX22! :)

the deck is still laying against the garage wall & I need to clean it better. I just removed it a few days ago and sharpened the blades. I will polish the painted surfaces and I spray the bottom with silicone. After cleaning, I grease then clean fittings. The deck is very clean now since I did not mow that much this year since I put a new front lawn in. Also going to install some synthetic gear oil in the box.

What brand and weight are you going to use in the gear box? I figured that now is the time to get all this done since there is not much more that can be done on the seat till it snows. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I am just using 75w-90 from Amsoil Series 2000 but there are other gear lubes that are also good. Redline is good. You can also use an SAE 80 or 80w-90 since they are close enough for a mower deck.

It will not even take a qt of fluid. I would add it to my front diff but that is already done.

Underneath I hit it pretty hard with the washer. Paint was gone the first year anyway. On top I use the soft nozzle to just get the clummps of grass off and the grease. I first spray it with degreaser then rinse off.

This storage shed is part of my house. Lower level of a rambler, but I have double swing doors going into it from outside. My mechanical equipment is in there also so it stays pretty warm.
