It made it! Just wanted to post a quick pic of latest addition. Been wanting one of these for a long time now, and one finally followed me home. DW has given it a name, "Odie Kubodie", so I guess he's a keeper. Pretty impressive so far. All as expected, at this point, but I am sure I will have questions for all who helped on this decision soon.
I believe there were 3 of us that had deliveries this weekend, and look forward to seeing if others are as impressed as I.
One quick question if anyone knows off top of head, what size bolt does the front winch mount take? I have 4 threaded holes needing bolts there, and don't know the size. Metric I would assume?
Thanks to All for all your influence.:D:D

Dapper, nice rig! I hope that top is the one I ordered!! Does your gas gauge bounce around? Just curious. Funny I almost bought what you got. I decided to have a cooling off period last week and then found one with the plain black wheels. Your property is beautiful, mine is clay, granite, and weeds!!

Very sharp...Love the wheels, wish that was an option when I bought mine!!

Thanks All! I am sure I will love it once i get use to it. :D
Property maintenance is the reason I bought Odie to start with. Well I had to justify it some way other than just because I wanted it...
It can be a full time job keeping up with it but that is what we love. I have about 3ac I finished mow weekly (twice weekly in spring) and another 5ac I keep bush hogged 2-3 times a year. My wife is very good at putting plants in the ground, and it is my job to make sure she has a place to put them...:laughing: I am sure this really will be a useful tool for what we do, and hope for a long trouble free machine life.
Grunt, I will keep your offer in mind. Thanks.

That's Kubota's new 900 XT. It's got a new bench seat, new alloy wheels (optional), new brush guard, new decals, and most importantly a new transmission. From what I have read about it, it sounds like the transmission compensates for load without lowering engine RPMs. It sounds similar to Deere's Load Match and whatever Kubota calls it on their GL40 transmissions. I've also read that the transmission in the new XT is an 1100 transmission (maybe someone can clarify). :confused2: The new XT is also suppose to have grease zerks on the u-joints. Stopping should also not be as abrupt when letting off the pedal. Shifts are suppose to be easier, as well.

Thanks JC, I will have to seak one out, and check it out in person. I really want to take some time off from work, but if I keep buying toys, will have to work another year.

Troy, As JayC says, mine is a 2011 RTV900XT. Yes it has the new bench seat, slightly better than the old, and the new brush guard. From what I can see this is just a paint upgrade?? :p I am told it also has the new transmission, but I only test drove the old transmission one time, and that was on a parking lot, so it is hard to compare. I hope, as all they hype says, that this new one turns out to be better tranny... I do know it has NO problem going up a pretty good hill. :) Even in H it had no difficulty. Was told by dealer that it is same as the RTV1100 tranny. How would I know from looking? Quick looks I had at the 1100, I couldn't tell you any different.
It does have the u-joint zerks. Seemed to be non issue to grease them.
Shifting... No problems yet, seems to work pretty consistently. Press on brake, and drops right in. Honestly, it has been so wet here, I haven't had a chance to do much with it. Did try short ride in woods, and seem good to go in the mud. Didn't try to hard, as those tracks in the mud are hard to get rid of. :ashamed: And I didn't want to cover Odie with mud... Yet!! :D
Seems to be a great little machine so far, and only time will tell if I am satisfied. It has a lot to live up to.

OHfarmer, Price as pictured was just shy of $13K. Seems to be pretty consistent with most of the dealers I checked with in S.W. Ohio. Dealer was "Zimmer Tractor" in Brookville IN. I was well pleased with their friendlessness and efficiency. I would recommend to anyone in the area.
They tell me they are a hard to keep in stock now with the XT improvements. My dealer got mine and 2 others in on WED, and I made the deal on Friday, delivered on Monday, and told other 2 are sold also. I think if you can get your hands on one, you will be pretty happy with it! :D

I've had my new RTV900xt for about one month. Yes, all of those updates you mentioned are on my machine, at least I think. My only small complaint would be the machine is just a little too noisy. I have the Camo recreational model, top & windshield.
