That reminds me of a time many years ago.........in oregon.

I was driving back to the coast after a night of carousing in Corvallis and ahead of me coming the other way 3 college girls from corvallis (coming back from a weekend on the coast) hit a nice 3 pt. It flipped the deer which landed on the guardrail on it's back, breaking it's back. We all stopped and got out about that time the poor buck tried dragging itself off with it's front legs. The girls started screaming help it help it so I ran up, grabbed it's horn and cut the poor things throat and u know what happened next. I didn't expect it.....I hear this terrible gurgling noise, then some shreiking and crying and I turned around to see what it was and the girls one getting sick all scrambling for their el camino, jumping in and pealing away! Always seem to have that affect on women.
Didn't have to even ask them if they wanted some:licking:

Another good one: An acquaintance happened upon a city couple that had hit a cow on a country road. The cow had knocked the windshield out of the car. The lady was covered with cow poop. The lady had no idea and said this mud smells awful:)

Me and my buddy one night,,,,hit a cow[or steer] whatever it was it was basicly full grown,on interstate 77 in w.v. going maybe 60,remember going whats that and looking up and it was like the wizard of oz movie,,cow was up in the air maybe 20 feet with its feet down looking at us,time it came down,we hit it the second time and drove it under the guard rails, which are very low on the interstate.

To make a much longer and more interesting story short, two three guys in a van stopped, gave us a ride, but before leaving, they was really talking serious about trying to unwedge that bloody mess out from under guard rails and bringing it home,,they finally decided it was a little to battered and we left.

When I was many years younger I was flying down the road way too fast and suddenly came upon a bunch of flashing lights and barely managed to slow down without hitting what turned out to be a big cabover that hit a pregnant cow at speed. The whole area was littered with cow parts and smelled horrible. As I was just passing by, the calf got up and trotted away. I slowed down LOTS.

Can you tell me where this is in the regulations? The only reference that I can find is that deer killed on WMAs or NWRs must be tagged out.

Dunno about the regs but it was standard here in Washington when I was county dispatch. Deer hit on road, automatic call to a 'salvager' who prepared them for the food bank.

Hitting cows: Oh dark 30 and deputy on a hot run hit a black bull. Caught it on right front, wipedout the entire right side of car and the inside as totally sprayed with 'fertilyzer'.

Yuppie driving: Well, college student actually. Pulled into my drive steaming asked for water. I sprayed radiator and filled him up. He said he had just chnged the head gaskets. I gave him the good newss that from all the bubbles showing the radiator fill hole he would get to do it again. Suggested he take care of it in town (4 miles). Nope, he was going on to Walla Walla (90 miles) I filled up every empty milk jug, etc I could find and told him "good luck".

Venison tastes so great when processed properly. that I am sure it's even better when " tenderized ".

In NYS you need to call and get it tagged.
