One Touch 3rd function kit info needed?

Does anyone have this add-on feature?

It is an electric toggle controlled 3rd function kit for your FEL.
According to the mfr, it does not rob you of any function of your FEL as a diverter might, but adds a completely separate function for a grapple or other front end attachment. They say the control installs on the FEL control handle with a rubber boot protecting the switch.

I was able to get the schematics from the mfr but they have no picture of the toggle control.

A picture of the toggle installed would be greatly appreciated .

As I plan to have this kit installed by my dealer on a new tractor purchase it would be nice to know what it would look like.

I added a Fasse valve kit on mine, not sure if it's what you're looking for, but sounds like it will perform the same function.

It sounds like a solenoid valve to me, like the one HERE that the Surplus Center sells.
Though it will work for a 3rd function on the loader, it is not proportional, meaning it is either ON or OFF. It may be tough to feather the pressure on a grapple with it, and you would need a 3 position switch on the joystick versus just a small single momentary switch.

I would get as much info on this as possible before you comit. The diverter is a breeze to use, and does not "ROB" a function per say...it splits it in two.

You might be able to order from them, but I suspect only from your JD dealer. I ordered mine from my JD dealer.

ruglad03835, You can order one of these valves from Addington Equipment In N.H. See link below. I got one for my grapple and it's being install at this moment by my JD dealer.

One thing I learned is that when you press the button it diverts the loader dump and curl action to the grapple open and close. So you do lose that action until you release the button /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Loss of curl won't be a problem. I'm going to use it on a power angle set-up on a Fisher snow plow.

Okay! Time to add to my own thread!

I have spoken with the actual mfr of the kit the dealer plans to install.

Apparently the 3rd function is powered off of the power beyond connection that goes to the 3 pt lift. Mfr explained that the 3 pt lift is usually not required when working with the loader (I had to agree with that) and so you end up with a 3rd function independent of the lift & curl functions of the FEL.

They were even so kind as to provide a powerpoint presentation that shows install with several pictures (in this case for a Kubota L48 model of their kit as it is was all they had to send).

I can now see how the install would be done in general.

This material is not copyrighted so I have converted to a .pdf but...where how to post?

I guess a resourceful owner could construct this mod themselves using wholesale sources of the solenoid valve and other components. The brackets look easy to fabricate. I see no problems electrically either.

Sorry about that, when I went to post the .pdf pages, so many have color pictures that even a single page was larger than the 100,000 byte attachment limit.

I posted the entire diagram set in 4 parts, zipped (compressed).

If you look just a few posts back you will see them, all 4 posts lists the 4 files you need.

You will need to unzip each file into the same folder (directory).

Then click on the file ending in .exe and it will self extract from the 4 files the entire 15 page .pdf document.

If you have never worked with multi part archives before it can be a bit confusing, but not hard to pick the basics.
