Online Dealers for NH, JD or Kubota???

Does anyone know of any online dealers for New Holland, John Deere and/or Kubota? If so, could you please provide their website link? More specifically, I'm looking for someone in or near the Northeast to keep the shipping costs down.

So far, I only know of two:

Since you haven't filled out your profile.... are you looking for a new tractor or for implements? Where in Maine are you?

I was looking for used but I have not found much that meets my criteria. The few good used tractors that I have found have been close to new costs. It seems worth the extra money to buy new, get the features you want and the warranty to back it.

To answer your question, I live in central ME and I'm looking for a new tractor but keeping my eye out for a decent deal on a used one.

Otherwise, keep an eye on your local papers, ask around at your local dealers (sometimes people are considering selling their tractor, but it takes a willing buyer to get them on it).

You may also want to look under the Merchandise traderonline while at the equipment traderonline. When I was looking most of the used ones were in that portion as opposed to the equipment trader, but definately check both.

Of course I agree that used was tough and too pricey with the current low percentage financing, so I ended up buying new from Carver Equipment.

Sometimes you can find decent used ones on Ebay as well, but you need patience.

Neophyte, Several years ago, I purchased as 'barely used' Cub Cadet 7360 via the internet. I had done all the research and knew exactly what I wanted. I used Machine Finder to locate the equipment. I found mine at a JD dealer in Alabama. There are a couple of other equipment search tools out there that you can use.

Once I found the tractor, I called the dealer and worked out the rest of the transaction over the phone. I also made some calls to check out the reputation of the dealer. It cost me $1k to have it shipped up to NH. The local dealer (Hazelton) wanted $20k for a new one w/FEL..... I paid $13K (plus shipping) for a one year old model with 90 hours and in pristine condition.

Muhammad, I have been checking on the TBN classifieds, equipment trader online and other local listings religiously. By the way, this is one of the most useful websites I have ever stumbled upon. Great job!

Surfran, I appreciate the tip about the merchandise trader online. I was not checking that up until today. They had some compact tractors listed. I have been looking on Ebay but I am hesitant to buy a used tractor on Ebay site unseen.

Gator, I have been in touch with Union Farm Equipment and they were great people to deal with. However, their prices don't come close to some of the prices I see on TBN and I would get hit with 5% sales tax here in Maine. Online dealers may have a delivery charge but it is usually less than sales tax. I may still buy local and, if I do, I would definitely consider Union Farm Equipment.

Rozett, I have also been checking Machine Finder pretty religiously. As with Ebay, I'm very hesitant to buy a used tractor site unseen. If I buy used, it will definitely be local (+/- 300 miles) so I can give it the once over.
