And scare the death outta bystanders so they don't get within 50 feet of you!!! Why do they always want to look into the hole you just made as you swing the boom back for another bite? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

A great tip I learned several years ago when I rented a backhoe to work up against my house for an addition...

Extend the hoe all the way out then ease up to the object you don't want to harm. Plant the stabilizers and dig away. Good chance you won't be able to hit said object /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Good advice.

Best advise I can give is start at a lower rpm and develop the muscle memory in coordinating your hand movements with what you want to accomplish. It wont take long before you are very comfortable. Smoothness and speed come with time. Kind of like patting your head and rubbing your stomach similtaneously. Enjoy your hoe and have fun.
