Brooster,
I have all Woods stuff except for a King Kutter II tiller. I have had no problems with it, even though I have found many interesting and hard "items" in the ground. Not so much in my garden, but others. I don't know about other KK implements, but I really like my tiller.

For the small amount of work you have to do (2 acres), the KK mower should be plenty good. I have a 6' KK deck for mowing 20 acres and it will not last too long but the main problem I have with it is that it does not have a front guard to prevent stuff from being thrown out the front like the better mowers do. I know I could buy some chain and weld up one myself but I have too many things to do to spend time on something that should be standard, IMHO. If you are only mowing grass and weeds even this should not be a problem. I have seen the KK tillers at TSC and they look well made and plenty good for a small garden. For the small amount of rototilling that I do, I still just use my walk behind tiller.

How do you figure ?? I had a King Kutter 36" behind a Beaver III for 20 years,It set outside/mowed rocks, sticks, sapplings, wire and even some weeds and grass.
I would hook the chain up to the spindle on the back wheel and pull some locks(when I needed to move something when I was mowing)I rode sapplings down with the Beaver III that would have the front end of the tractor 2 feet off the ground and knock the front weights off the tractor and put the PTO in high range and crank that little Mitsubishi diesel up as far as she would go and crawl over those 2 to 3 inch sapplings and let the brush hog start eating,it sounded like helicopter crashing in the woods.I backed into multiflora rose bushes and had that thing humming and my nephews were running for cover and standing behind a tree to avoid getting hit by the shrapnel, and I was sober too /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif.
Sold my Beaver bought my JD4400 and 513 rotary cutter and less than 2 weeks new,I had to take it to the welding shop and spend have a day to reinforce the back of it because it was made out of sardine cans, after a 3 trips to the welding shop the 513 rotarty cutter is more like it should have been when JD sold the things new.

The paint is crap, the welds are poor. The geometry for the top link and three point are strange. The top swivel link is poorely designed. There is no guard with it so you have to rig something. The tailwheel geometry is incorrect causing the tailwheel to tear up and scar the ground when you turn. The paint is an ugly puke color! Overall, they are a 3 out of 10. Mine vibrates and does not have a slip clutch and the shear pin is way to big for a 2410 yet this is a 48 inch unit--in other words--they do not size the unit to the tractor range appropriate to the unit. ...they do not size the unit to the tractor range appropriate to the unit...

The mfr. of an implement sizes the "shear pin" to protect their implement first... your tractor second...

Most implements are built around the law of averages... across a hp range they specify their implement to work on...

The main problem... these implements are still mfr... meeting Cat I spec's, but not necessarily "Compact Tractor" spec's... (a grey area) /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I recently (last month) purchased the 60" KK II tiller and have been using it quite a bit this past week. At first I thought burnt out the clutch because I was trying to work it to hard on hardpan... but turns out I didn't .... In any event, I've been doing my best to work it hard (without destroying it /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif) and so far (fingers crossed), she's worked quite well. I've notice the poor paint jobs on some of KK's other implements (I am about to pick up a KK HD blade and a rake from TSC) but overall, this product appears to be a good value if you are just using it for less than industrial strength type uses (heck, I have 22 acres and I keep finding more uses for the tiller).

It really comes down to how much money you have/want to spend on implements. I could have spent almost twice as much for Landpride but I don't have the money it (and they would have been smaller). ... heck, I make pretty good money but I don't want to blow my kids college money on the rolls royce of products when I'm not going to be using these implements all day long... the only one that will really get a work out will be the HD blade as I will be using it on my 600 ft driveway this winter (in the great white north).

It all comes down to price and how (including much) you want to use it. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

looking back at this post and looking at a recent post from someone asking about the KK 6' cutter, after a few months of using my KK II tiller, KK 7' rake, KK 7' HD rear blade, and my recently purchased (definitely getting beaten) 6' rotary cutter, I'd have to still stand by my statements...

For the money, these are a GREAT value.... even if the product fails in 10 years, I was able to save (and invest) the savings elsewhere such that I could buy two more by the time it fails.

Once my kids get through college, then I'll look at one of those duradeck monstrosities you can buy that runs over 5" trees /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I just purchase a 10' rotary cutter made by International Machine. It is very HD. It is built like a tank. The fit and finish is not the greatest. If you want something with nice paint and real smooth steel, get something else. I compared it to others and it is most by far the strongest. I know Internationl make other implements as well. You may want to contact a dealer who sells International and check into it.

LOL LOL /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gifLOL

Some times you just have to go for broke, and wring the tar out stuff. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Use it like a rental /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Slippy,
I have an International trailer, I think built by same company here in Ohio.
It's a 20' tandem axle 14K utility trailer and the title weight is over 4000#.
Yes they use IRON in their product.
