Is there any special significance to the Budweiser truck next to the sign? (Or is it the sign is next to the Budweiser truck?)

I'm reletively new here as well.

I have stuck my nose in a few posts and believe what I posted to be factual, wether others agree or not. I have read posts that I dont necissarily agree with and others that I completely agree with. I have also asked help from the members here and received very quick experienced advice from members that have a stronger background in what I was asking than I. Everyone has certain strengths and weakness'. It's more of a respect thing than a senoirity thing. There is a great wealth of knowledge here, and I am greatfull that most of these guys are here regardless of for how long. I can deal with the ones I dont care for, I ignore the post...

The old saying about opinions is part of what makes this site so cool. You get a tremendous amount of opinions and different points of veiw that can expand your knowlege wether its the best info or not. Just enjoy it.

By the way, vanilla shake with real bananna and strawberries......

You apparently have not tried my brand of Ice Cream. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
But Blue Bells and Bud look great together. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Andy your a veteran here at the site so speak up and tell us your favorite flavor also.

I used to always eat chocolate peanut butter cup ice cream, until I discovered chocolate chip cookie dough blizzards at Dairy Queen (with chocolate ice cream)

I used to own Craftsman mowers until I discovered New Holland.

I used to own only Fords until I bought my Cavalier.

The moral of the story is, whatever you have may be the BEST, but if you try something else, you might find something even better! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

So you want good Ice Cream???

Anybody ever get to lick the hand turned paddle just after it was taken out of the canister that was filled with ice cream made with real cream??

Cause unless youv'e done that there is no standard base for comparison. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Bird: Remember stopping in at a restaurant after spending the day cycling from the Columbia Icefields to Lake Louise. Appertizer, two entries followed by two Banna Splits. I was hungry. The waiter suggested a different establishment that served food at a much reduced price.

In an effort to make a long post a bit shorter, I left a few things unclear. (in my original post in this thread)

I don't consider, nor am I accusing ALL, or even MOST of the "senior members" of being "high and mighty", nor was I commenting exclusively on this site. It's an internet-wide phenomenon. (sp?). (In fact, it's not exclusive to the internet. Whenever you gather a group of people, finally, a few "self-appoint" themselves as "the boss". I've always thought of it as the "Alexander Haige Syndrome")

This site is ABOVE AVERAGE in terms of being friendly, having "mature" members (NOT talking about chronological age here, but maturity in ACTIONS), as well as average inteligence of its membership. That's why I decided to start posting here.

I LIKE WHAT I SEE.

I've always believed that perception is greater than reality. People will go with initial reaction, rather than waiting for a more informed opinion most times. I'm as guilty as the next person on that issue. When someone does "wrong", and starts spouting "facts", that aren't factual, and the next person starts shooting them down, it often appears as merely a typical internet "flame war".

And by the way, the Reeses Blizzard was excellent!

TXDon, this thread is far off topic, but has been quite amusing. I had just eaten some Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla on a bowl of peach cobbler my wife made.

And Farmswithjunk, after I'd eaten the cobbler and ice cream, my grandson walks in with hot fudge sundaes from Dairy Queen (my wife's preference for flavors). I put mine in the freezer for later. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif If I go to Dairy Queen (infrequently), I want the Hawaiian Blizzard (pineapple, banana, and coconut). /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

And I haven't had breakfast yet.-------------

Is it OK to have ice cream this early in the morning?

(Dairy Queen "training center" is about a block away from work. Might have to go assist in the training of another potenial Blizzard machine operator!)

Farmwithjunk, You can have ice ream with cereal it is acceptable. By the way, in the photo I was trying to get "B"s in the picture, Blue Bell, Budweiser, Bluebonnets, Brenham Texas etc.... Only had to stand in the middle of Hwy 290 about 10 minutes and got only one quick shot as he passed at 60 mph....... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Is it acceptable to eat ice cream this early in the morning? Several of us just finished some Safeway brand "Moose Tracks" ice cream (no jimmies, no nothing actually) while watching CNN. Why Safeway brand? Because that is what was in the freezer. You eat what you got, unless you are not lazy like us. I eat more (cheap) ice cream here at work than I do at home. I eat more at work period. Why go back to sleep when you are just going to be woken up (or is that waked) again.

Coincidently, a 78 year old with a "diabetic emergency" is what got us out of bed at 0452 this morning.
