It takes me about 2-3 minutes to remove or install my 430 FEL on my 4310. To install the 59 inch front snow blower is
about 10 minutes and to remove it is about 3 minutes.
I always seem to struggle getting any pto shaft to slide on and that's what takes most of the time.
Now for the American made part of this discussion.
The plain fact of the matter is there is no such thing
as American made vs. Japanese made / vs. European made or any other country for that matter. I work for
a large multinational company, Caterpillar, and things like
countries get in the way of being able to effectively
do business on a global scale. Whether we like to admit it or not, we really do have one global economy that is linked together in extremely complex ways. Computers and networks allow us to seek out the best supplier of goods and services anywhere on the planet. CAT has design, engineering, parts distribution or manufacturing facilites in 21 or 22 time zones around the world. We would have a facility in the other ones except there isn't any land in the middle of the pacific ocean. Most major Japanese car companies
have manufacturing or assembly facilities in the U.S.
Kawasaki has a motorcycle facility in Nebraska.
Many companies have cross branded products. For example,
John Deere sells both excavators and articulated trucks
in North America, the excavators are made in the U.S.
and the trucks are manufactured by Volvo. Both products
sold in North America have John Deere Decals. Those same two products are sold in Europe have Volvo stickers on them.
I don't mean to carry on but I truly feel that all of the products discussed on TBN, such as JD, Kubota, Ford NH,
and others and I apologize for not mentioning them by name,
are made on planet earth and all are world class. Companies
who don't make world class products today simply cannot survive in a world market place.
