The only cure for these strange delusions is to go Red or Green...just kidding. I was so close to buying orange but Red had better financing, a similar price, and I liked the backhoe and a few other little things on the M-F a little better. That being said, I'm sure I'd being seeing orange right now if the deal would have went the other way....two of my neighbors have Kubs.

I was exposed to the green pathogen first. I actually went looking to possibly become infected with Greenopathy. The local carrier of said disease seemed rather put out by my presence, so maybe he was just trying to help..he certainly helped to keep from getting any of my green ($$$).

Gotta love when that happens! That happened to me on my first call to my local carrier of the Orangeitis virus. I went elsewhere but in the end, gave them a second call and an very glad I did. I obviously talked to a different representative the second time. It's too bad that some reps seem to blow off potential customers. I can't imagine what they are thinking!

Heck, I bought orange first then green which convinced me to go back to orange and the last three have all been orange.

I do however recommend anyone looking to purchase visit all the dealers.

So, when it comes to Kubotitis...the "cure" is worse than the disease.

Actually there is no cure, all one can realistically hope for are periods of remission.

Do as I say, not as I do?

If I remember correctly, you said your wife had also been claimed by Kubotitis in another thread (the BX strain, right).

About seven years ago I started my pursuit for a "4 wd life time mower". I looked at Green which was about $3000 more for the comaparble "mower" and the Blue was about $2500 more for the comparable "mower" than the Orange BX2200. If cost and financing had been different then only God knows what color I'd be driving today.
I'm satisfied with my Orange dealer and have visited him eleven times and signed financial documents which later ended up with a Barlows delivery truck coming to my property. Hope he can find me one more time.
If I buy a Camoflage model RTV1140 will I be able to claim it's Orange? May have to start referring to them as Kubotas instead of Oranges.:)

No, I actually looked at all of them that had local dealers before I bought my last ones; even bought a JD2305 between my 2200 and 2660. I really liked the JD 5000 Series and loved the 6000 Series, but it was just too much tractor.

OK, OK I know one of the first stages of addiction is denial, but I'm not addicted; really, no I mean it...

She sure has. The BX2660 is "her" tractor. She will go out to just "touch up around the house" and I won't see her for three or four hours. She will wind up in the woods or mowing pond levies etc.

Not sure about that one, we had a pretty severe incident out here.....thinking about maybe calling it a crime.
Local Kubota dealer won a bid for a couple of RTV1100s for the local University and it was not for Oregon State University, which would of been good since their colors were Orange and Black, but it was for the University of Oregon(Ducks) and their colors are Green and Yellow. The bid required that both units be painted Green with the school colors, have heard that they look good but I cannot imagine a Kubota ever looking good in Green!
