ORB to NPT

ORB and JIC are the same pitch and diameter. In a pinch you can use a male JIC fitting with an 'O' ring on the shoulder to fit into an ORB port. You might have to cut off the taper if it's too deep.................Mike

Just a side point:

Since we are getting a bit technical with term like NPT/NPTF/SAE/ORB/JIC

Just thought I would mention one more "technicality"

... NPT threads are for mechanical or low-pressure air or fluid applications and require the use of sealing compounds like Teflon tape, to provide the seal....

Actually, there is no such thing as Teflon Tape. It is more correctly called "Plumbers/PTFE/Thread Seal" Tape. Teflon is a Brand Name, not a product or substance. It used to belong to DuPont and now is the property of Chemours - and neither company makes plumbers tape - therefore, technically, since the owner of the name "Teflon" does not make it, Teflon Tape does not exist.
