You can find more information here: Equine Equipment Savings. Basically, if you're involved with horses - boarding, training, selling, buying, etc., you qualify for substantial discounts on several products - like Massey Ferguson tractors.
.
May be worth owning a horse.

Tractor finally arrived today.

The JD 5425 is a 83 HP machine. The MF 5609 is a 90 HP machine. Yet the difference between the two is much larger than 7 hp. The lift capacities, build of the 3 point hitch, loader, accessibility, and more is significantly better on the MF. The JD is a good tractor. The MF is better.

With the Equine Program discount, the tractor, with loader came to $66,000. It does cost more than the JD, but to me it was well worth it. And the Michelin Agribib tires are fantastic!

I am more impressed with every picture and story of the new MFs I see. Very nice.

When we were pricing tractors, the JD 5105M came in about a thousand or so more then the MF. For the difference, we went with the MF - even though it gave up some HP to the JD (A MF 5610 would have been about another grand or two more than the JD 5105M). Looking at the New Hollands left me extremely disappointed with them. Kubota's were also a little rough in comparison. Some manufacturers required a larger framed tractor. We don't want to go any larger because this tractor is still used to drag our dressage arena. It has to fit and make the turns.

We paid a grand extra to make sure we got the Michelins. Otherwise it would have been Goodyear (most likely), Firestone, or maybe Trelleborg tires. Trelleborg aren't too bad though....

Very impressed with how quiet the machine is even when standing outside. The cab is great and I love the seat. Significantly more comfortable than the JD. The ride of the tractor is also much improved. The Michelin tires help with that.

Loader is impressive. All the hydraulic lines are run inside the loader frame. Grease points are 'imbedded' (i.e. not exposed on the surface) in the frame and have covers over them. Third function fittings are placed intelligently and have a nice bracket holding them in place (JD's were held to the frame with a zip tie). Popping the loader off is quick and easy.

The machine, as a whole, is better engineered than the anything else I saw in the same HP range except the Fendt's. But, at $66,000 for the tractor and loader you do pay for the engineering expertise.
