Ordered my Bush Hog M246 FEL

/ Ordered my Bush Hog M246 FEL #21
Hi guys, thanks for the compliments. I live in Jefferson County here in Ohio. I am about 60 miles from Pittsburgh. The pole building in the background is 30 X 40 & it was built in 1996. That is where I do some lawn mower repair work & is also where I had a big Fiesta bowl party not long ago. Cleaned everything up & rented a 55 inch TV. Had about 35 family, friends & kids over. We all had a real good time.

I talked to my dealer late last week and he said he thought they had shipped it out, but I haven't heard anything since. I'd like to get it done soon so it's not in the shop when the grass starts turning green and I have to mow! I'm normally mowing by mid April, but should have some extra time this year, since it's been the worst winter ever and spring is a bit late.

You're welcome! I lived in Cookeville, TN for about a year (back in 1982) and have been to your area. It's a really nice area and I've even tried to relocate there, but to no avail so far. I've sent resumes to a few places in the Tri-city area, but not much hiring going on these days.

Murphy's Law strikes again. I called earlier this week to find out the status of my FEL. The dealer, Davis Equipment in Seymour Indiana, said they had called Bush Hog a few times and each time they were told the loader was shipped. So, why was it taking so long to get here? They finally tracked it down and found out it was shipped to Seymour, Illinois! I didn't even know the place existed. They said there's even a business out there with the name Davis. So, they said it should be here in a week.

Hey Danny,

Did your new Bush Hog FEL come in yet? Last Friday made a week and we haven't heard a peep out of you about it... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Danny,

I want you to know that I had nothing to do with it. Murphy's law effects a lot of people, not just murphy's. So we are all waiting for your loader to come in. Let us know your status.

I did pretty much the same as you are doing. When I got the tractor, I got it with a mower and scraper. It was all I could get at that the time, and it worked well for a couple years.

I added the Bushhog qt1846 to mine about two years ago(with standard bucket). It has worked very well. I have only detached it once, just to do it. It was pretty simple.

The only issue I ran into was a little over a year ago. I was out in some brush, and the tractor stalled out. The HST and other hydraulics just did not work. Turns out, a pice of something bumped one of the quick couplers, and popped it loose. When that happened, it killed the flow of hydraulics.

Since then, I have tied the lines up a little neater. It was not the fault of the loader; it could happen to any quick disconnect fitting.

You'll like it when you get it. I was amazed at how much more of a tractor it makes. My B8200 is/was my first expierience with any tractor, till getting the old Farmall, and now playing on a Bobcat. That loader just totally adds a new dimension to the work you do.

Believe it or not, it has taken over a week to get the loader shipped from Seymour, IL to Seymour IN! It finally arrived and the dealer came out to get the tractor today. They said I should have it back in a couple of days. I'll believe it when I see it!
