I currently own a TC29D with Supersteer. Purchased new in 99, and I have been very happy with it.. When we purchased 100 acres, mostly open, decided we needed a much bigger tractor. I did all the same research, went to see JD, Kubota, and New Holland. I would have seriously considered a 5420, but the closest I could get the JD dealer was 10k more than I could get the TN75.

So here is the deal, I think it's pretty good.

First New Holland found me a brand new TN75 Standard from last year with the old light style. It has allot of deluxe options, like 2 rear remotes, 17 gallon hydralic pump, etc. It only has the 8x8 syncronized tranny, but I think I can live with this. Also ordered a 10' Bushhog for the rear and a loader with bucket and bale spear. The whole package was 33,500. However, they gave me 13,500 trade in on my TC29D, which the best I could get any of the others to do was around 10-12k. So 20k out the door with my tractor. New Holland kept a loyal customer...:)

I'll post pic's as soon as it arrives..

Congratulations! It's great finding a NH dealer who is competitive around here. You obviously have been well-served by your dealer to buy twice from them.

Where did you find 100 acres in Northern Virginia? Do you mean WashingtonDC/NoVA or the "real" Northern Virginia of Loudoun/Frederick Counties /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I'm in Fairfax County.

Mark,

Thanks for the reply. Actually, the 100 acres I found was about 7 miles from Warrenton. I know this may be a stretch for some to call Northern VA. I work in Herndon, and it's about 35-40 miles from the 100 acres, so I can live with that. It is in Fauqiuer County which has very strange zoning laws, so it cannot be subdivided for 25 years, which is fine with me. We just got the land last week, and are hoping to begin construction on a new house in about a month. Just waiting on a building permit at this point.

On the dealer side I worked with Thero's equipment. They've been good to me, but I always work with the same folks out of Fredericksburg. Can't say about how the other dealerships they have in Virginia do.

David.

Congratulations on your purchase. I provided a review for the TN75 under the review section. I was able to get a really sweet deal on my machine. I am very happy with mine. I too have 100 acres....in Northwestern PA.

Enjoy....welcome to the world of Ag-size tractors.

Where at in Northwest PA? I am from Youngsville, PA which is about an hour east of Erie.

Anyway, got the tractor last night, minus the loader, that's coming next week. I will try and get some PIC's today to post.

This thing can mow!

Nice looking machine! What is the model of rotary cutter that you have? I am looking for something larger than what I'm using.

I am in Corry, PA

It's a 10 foot Bushhog. I think it's a model 2010. It is a very nice machine. I've mowed about 20-30 acres so far, and it works great on this size tractor. It cost around 5500.

Thanks.
David Whipple.
