Had the old 16 foot for 12 years now and it has done well. we are right on the max weight with the tractor; but the mower hangs over, and now have 3 quads to tote around so we decided to upgrade.

18.6ft__HD__10K__FLATBED TRAILER___"TILT-BED"____new 2012-

the 20.5 foot is only 100 dollars more.

we get to pick and choose the configuration so our plans include
no stake pockets
6 hd d rings
spare tire holder
pressure treated deck with gaps (in Oregon we need gaps)
the cross members will be closer together

the one vanity item is i'm going to have it painted the same color as dads 2008 Dodge truck.

Anyway, excited about this.....

Thats a good price for a tilt bed car hauler. I just received my 20 foot car (tractor -no tilt) hauler from Trout Trailers in Porter Texas. It is a 12K GVW with 16" tires x 10 ply, dual 6000# axles with brakes on both axles with heavy duty jack on front with side wind, spare tire carrier and spare 10 ply tire, heavy duty rear stowaway ramps, 2 foot dove tail delivered to my daughters house with a temp. license tag for $3150 which was the best price I could find

Those are some good looking trailers. I just had this one built, it's axles are only rated for 7500 pounds. And its not tilt, those are nice.

Nice wheels on that one. I have not heard of a 7500#rating dual wheel axles. Is it dual 3500# axles? or 5200# with deduction in capacity to 7500 net. Standard axle ratings are 2000, 3500, 5200, 6000 and 7000 for utility trailers.

5 bolt rims, so I would guess 3500# axles and 500# of tongue weight.

Shoot man, maybe 7000#. 3500# axles I think is correct. But my buddy who built it said 7500, he may have mistakenly said that. But he did say if I ever wanna heavier trailer just some axles would be all I need. Trailer is built heavy out of tubing. It was manufactured at a place that usually just builds boat trailers.

Post some pictures with it hooked up to your dads truck when you get a chance. It sounds like a nice trailer and a good price.

Fair enough. I just know that my current trailer does not have any and I long for the day to be able to afford a newer trailer with them. Looking forward to seeing pics hooked up to the truck. sounds like its gonna look slick as snot.

Sometimes i use stake poskets to hook the straps to. This probly is not good as they may not be welded to support that type of stress if a crash happens? I try if i remember to hook the bottom of the main channel or the tounge channel.

yes to the goose-necks; about any type you want.
Top Notch Trailers, Rochester, WA

What I have noticed as opposed to the last trailer; Washington State requires tandem axles to have brakes on all wheels.
The paper said 1.5 gallons of custom paint, but the factory said 2 gallons. when I asked why he said they paint the entire frame.. that is a big plus for me as my 5th wheel and tractor hauler trailers has no paint on the frame-- kinda discouraging to see the rust.
I will give it a good look over and pictures when we pick it up

The bad thing about Oregon is that you will have to either register the trailer for 8000 lbs GVW and pay registration every two years or register it as a Heavy Utility "HU" plates and have a one time registration fee. Light Utiility trailers may get trip permits for trips over the 8000GVW up to the trailers full GVW (10 days $5) . A "Heavy Utility" registered trailer must be pulled with a vehicle registered by weigh usually using "Truck" plates and they get expensive as the registration is paid each year quarterly using weight formula and can get expensive ($344 for 8k-10k vehicle per year). I wish Oregon would increase the limit to 10K but it would not help me much as the equipment and dump trailer are both 14K Load Trails and one should get permits for extended trips but most local people around here ignore this rule.

thanks for the heads up.
We will register it as 8000 and live with it. I bent the rules enough with last trailer-- no plates needed due to light weight towing rules; even tho I put the tractor on it a lot. We will do this one right...
I win in the end, sorta. I pay enough fees with 2 cars, 2 bikes and a pickup I seldom drive, but I put my disabled veteran plate on the most expensive vehicle; the 5th wheel-- its 240 every 2 years and there is no renual with the veteran plate...

grsthegreat you need to checkout May Trailer Sales out Ada,Oklahoma. Rick May the owner is whom I usually deal with....good guy. His trailers are above most you see for sale outhere. He uses the sealed lights along with sealed wiring harness...meaning nothing has been butt spliced and tapped up.Harness ran through its own tubing, not zipp tied to the frame here and there. He uses an automotive grade paint and its painted top to bottom. My last 20'er I bought I had him add a tie-down rail using stake pockets and 3"x 3/8" flat bar from the front of fender to front of trailer/rear of fenders to back of trailer, then across back and front of trailer.Inside the bed I had 4 weld on D rings welded in the length of the fenders on each side. I always had him ad crossmembers, the area between the fenders @12" centers. lot of times I do haul heavy stuff with a small foot print. His boards are secured with 2 bolts each end and middle, using the same size screw as an 18 wheeler flabed uses. My first G/N I bought from him in 1997, used in oilfield hotshot. It has been used and abused, down some really rough roads over the yrs. Adding up all the truck mileages that has pulled over the years, the trailer has well over a million miles on it today. I naver had an issue with this trailer nor the others I have bought from him. I finally had blasted and painted this past yr. He builds in OK and I know he ships to different states too. Might check him out and do a google search for may trailers in ADA, OK
