Dadnatron, Was it doughdaddys donuts? I used to stop there for gas and donuts.
I sometimes come up the KY parkway returning from arkansas, stopped at doughdaddys, and wife had to make some more trips that way. Then one time, they weren't as good, and wife isn't as interested in going that way anymore. No, it was a small Marathon just at the Versailles City limits. About 3miles from DoughDaddy's.
BTW... I spent about 3 years never going into DoughDaddy's and did just fine. I stopped in one day, and BAM!!!
Now, I have to work to AVOID going in there. Luckily, I can avoid them most times, by taking the back roads from my place. Their doughnuts are great!
We have gas stations in small rural Kansas towns that are just pumps in the middle of town, no store or anything other than the pumps with card readers. I don't want some dweeb putting gas in my truck anyway.
There is probably some truth behind that picture.
Still unanswered: what is so great about pumping your own gas?
