Just thought I'd chime in. My wife Shannons first deer. I sure was proud! Sitting in a double stand with me 22 ft up, 6MM, 90 yards,freehand, double lung,went ten yards and dropped!! And I havn't killed anything with my rifle. Killed a nice 8 pointer with a bow in Sept. but none in gun season, go figure.

You know, I'm beginning to think that one of you guys got my deer instead of yours since my freezer is still empty.

Moral of this story is not to wait for a good buck when you are watching legal does.

While we're telling deer stories, I feel compelled to add mine... I'd been watching a beautiful 10-point with an estimated 18-inch spread since before season opened. We have our land leased to deer hunters and on the second weekend of the season, they had taken some nice bucks. An 8 and 9 point with about 17-inch spreads.. nice bucks. On the second weekend, two of the hunters packed up to go on at the end of the day on Saturday but one of them couldn't get the running lights on his trailer to work. Sunday morning, he shot my buck! 10-points and exactly an 18-inch spread. You can bet that next time I'll work a little harder to get his trailer lights working... lol
One bright spot is that another hunter later spotted a 14-point... I'm going hunting this weekend. lol

i got this one tuesday after noon at my propery during shot gun season in ohio athens county he was 176 dressed and 10 point the best one i seen in a long time.
