I'm not happy when the locals enforce their own form of law. Here in Ohio it's legal to own a suppressor/silencer yet the local chief LEO won't sign off on the paperwork required so one can be obtained and OK'd by the BATF.

So guys like me have to go around that and form a NRA Gun Trust. With that the chief LEO is out of the loop and we are given the green light directly from the BATF. This really doesn't make a bit of sense to me.

time for a grassroots movement to get that CLEo un-elected.

keep in mind you also have a couple other options other than the CLEO.. though tht is the usual one.

SoundGuy the chad at the local gun shop was very helpful and actually did all the required paperwork to meet the trust requirements. I only needed go to my bank to sign said forms and have witnessed/stamped by a notary.

I agree that the LEO needs to be voted out, they shouldn't have the right to not conform to state law.

I agree. IMO, if they are doing that you might be well served by bringing this to the attention to one of your state senators, state representatives and/or the state attorney general's office.
