- 2007 Kioti DK40se HST, Woods BH
I was looking at a DK40SE HST. Really liked the machine and the value offered. Got qoutes from 2 different dealers, including Michigan Iron. But as I look at the dealer situation, I am going to buy a Kubota. I just don't want to spend that kind of money only to have the dealer drop out or get kicked out. Or the brand disappears entirely. This kind of dealer turnover drops the value of these machines down to that of the chinese tractors.
Well, you've just decided to pour about $6000 down the drain to get a Kubota with the same capabilities. "This kind of dealer turnover" is common in the tractor business. Kubota and JD dealers also drop the line. No question that dealership access is an issue with Kioti but with a dealer like Michigan Iron you would be very well served. Bobcat is not going to disappear and it is pretty unlikely that Kioti does anything but grow given the value they offer in CUTs compared to JD and Kubota. Your decision is kinda like deciding to pay and extra chunk of change for a Toyota rather than a Hyundai. If it makes you feel better do it but don't think you are getting a better value in a car.
