My wife is from Waverly, IA and also has family in Waterloo, Elma and a few other places there.
We usually go back once a year. Many folk think Iowa is flat & treeless. I'll have you know that
once upon a time, Waverly had a ski slope. It was right next to the waterslide, so you can imagine

As a matter of fact, I spent some time in Minneapolis. I remember that they had a ski slope and a ski jump near the city. Go figure!!!
