You MUST buy a hoe! It's mandatory, and your wife approved it already! What more incentive do you need. I have the KB-2485 and it has done everything I have thrown at it. just hide the keys to the tractor when you go away and then drop them on the lawn for your wife to find when you return....:dance1::confused3:
Who's 'gonna know?!

+1

Cant believe you are even questioning this. You need to do as you are told! When your wife says "honey, I think we need a backhoe attachment for the tractor"... happy wife, happy life!

CM has a good idea about hiding the keys, however, another alternative is to show her how to use the hoe, so when you do go away on business, she can make a mess. Now you can fix everything when you get back. :cool2:

Wife was in favor of the BH until we got the estimate to finish the repair of the foundation/sill plates on our house on Friday. Seems that when the house was built in 1983, they didn't put any sealant on the foundation and they didn't put any water barrier between the foundation and the sill plates. Of course they didn't use pressure treated lumber for the sill plates. The foundation is crumbling from the freeze thaw cycles and most of the sill plates are rotting and the house is settling. So those issues needs to be financed before a backhoe. I leave the tractor in gear, she doesn't know it needs to be in neutral to start. :) So hopefully I don't get any surprises when I go out of town.

You better hope she doesn't read TBN! I do the same but also leave the key in the little hatch compartment behind the range selector.

She doesn't read TBN and I have the manuals with me.. so I am safe there. Hmmm.. little hatch compartment, I didn't know about that, will have to check that out when I get home on Thursday.

Congrats on the new tractor! I'm in the same area and currently shopping to replace my old leaky '75 David Brown. Would you post the name of the dealer that you had success with?
