Outdoor Compressor Considerations

Draining the tank meant walking almost completely around the large cluttered outside area
Why not just go with an automatic electric, adjustable one? I have that on mine and it works like a crharm, I will say tho, it froze a couple of times but not enough that i worried about it as I'm very rarely using air in the winter anyway.

+1 with a mud dauber concern. I have them inside and out, so constantly fighting the pests. Things such as seldom used air tools with 1/4” quick couplers have to be taped / plugged shut or they WILL be mudded shut. In my tool box I constantly check my smaller sockets wrenches, etc. I hate daubers! The mud dries concrete like, very difficult to clean out. Seems the only way to kill them with nowadays wasp spray is to drown them with it. I think they are more resistant to the stuff than regular wasps.
Yes we have them so bad I have said several times if any of the buildings ever burned they would never fall because of all the mud nests built in the walls and ceiling.

It doesn’t even have to be a hole around here, but they do get them.

The tools I don’t keep secured, I just cover with a, dirty but not done yet, rag. I don’t think they even go near the little cart anymore.

Another method I’ve used to keep debris out of couplers when not in use.

Some of my tanks don’t get used enough for an automatic drain, one can still make it easier to do if they trash the normal radiator drains and put a 90 & straight section of pipe off the bottom of the tank so you can put a good valve in an easy to get to place.

Not to split hairs but Husky is Home Depot and Kobalt is Lowes... :)

I plan to build a leanto on one of my sheds and enclose it for the shop air compressor, just to get the noise out further... I stick with oiled compressors for less noise but do what ya gotta do, I understand...
