Century
Hi Folks,
I am new to tractoring, and have learned alot from this site.
I am wondering if you could help me with a question? I have a century 3045 wih a canopy and I'm going to have to use it this winter for snow removal. Is there someone who sells a cab that i could hang over the canopy? I could modify it to fit but I don't want to start from scratch! Thanks in advance for your help.

I saw one made from a golf-cart enclosure on this site. Try doing a search...it's somewhere....

I would think that with some velcro, outdoor canvas and a couple of clear pastic panels one could be fabricated pretty cheaply. Maybe some fiberglass poles run from the floor to canopy to give it stability.

If you get the dimensions and materials all you need is someone to stitch it together. Someone like a shoemaker could probably stitch it together with those machines so it would never come apart. I know that I have used them to stitch together odd materials before.

Are there even shoemakers anymore? I don't remember seeing one in awhile /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Might be a little leg work but compared to the prices I have heard on here before sounds like it would be well worth it.

Here's a link Enclosures to a company that sells the kind of soft sided enclosures for golf carts that you're talking about. I don't know if they custom make them for other kinds of equipment, or if there is enough information for you to figure out how to do it. Another option would be to talk to a local awning company to see if they could make something to fit your machine.

Good luck! Send pics if you figure something out! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yeah I was thinking about a sailmaker as well . I suppose we have some around the Hudson Valley area of NY but anything to do with boating usaully means $$$$$$. I think they have an unofficial surcharge just because it's realted to watercraft.

Tractor Supply sells one as well. The one they sell even has side covers for the engine sides in an effort to direct some heat to the cab for you.

Neat.. I didn't even know that.. and I visit TSC about once a week.... perhaps in florida they don'yt carry them?? Either that or our store is out.. but then they stay out of the darnedest things.. like the shear pins.. they are out more often than they have them...

Thanks for all the info!
Sorry it took so long but my "real job" has been taking all my time. ( NO seat time in 14 days 8 hrs 23 min /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif not that i'm counting. )I think between the golf carts, northern tool, and tractor supply, I should be able to come up with something! I'll post some pictures when (if) i get somewhere.

TSC does have cabs. But I see by the photo, there's no roof! Odd thinks I.

Under the Options section it does say that there are tops and back curtains for certain models.

I have a golf cart top that I mounted to my ROPS. I got a soft cab from golfsmith and secured it with velcroe that my wife sewed to the fabric
The other half was the adhesive half that I mounted conviently on my tractor body.I took up the slack or extra material with plastic clamps from Lowes. The cab cost me around $50 and the bundle of clamps was about $15 or so. I used it last year and couldn't believe how nice it was and with the sun comming thru the window area it was toasty with few drafts. It has zippered doors to get in and out.
