Tractor
None, looking to buy
Buying a 5ac property with infinite trees, dirt work, lifting needs, etc. I also have been paying for someone to bushhog my hunting lease, 800ac but the roads aren’t that wide.

There are so many brands, I had no idea. The classics colors, plus LS Kioti MF Bad Boy on and on. I think I would like a 35hp, as most of them have a 2k lift capacity. 4x4 is a must, and a 3rd function would be nice due to the grapple.

Most of them are doing 0% which is a no brainer. I’m not going to need the strongest or nicest, but also don’t want the Temu version. What are some of the best buy’s right now? Budget isn’t crazy high because I have to buy a house, renovate, buy a ZTR, etc. Tractor can wait until spring but would rather buy ASAP if possible

It's no fun to be overwhelmed, so I'll make it easy for you: TYM. Probably the best bang for your buck. Provided you have a dealer within reasonable distance.
A 15 or 20 series legacy model would check all the boxes.

Yep there is a TYM dealer fairly close.

Thanks for the reply

I would start by identifying what brands have full service dealerships within a reasonable distance. Then determine what implements and size you need for your purposes. Compare all of the brands that will work for your purposes, but be careful about loader lift capacity. They don’t all measure lift the same way. Also be cautious about some of these models that specify a 1 ton lift capacity, but the machine only weights 3K. HP isn’t a very good way to compare unless the machine weights are similar. In many cases a 35 hp machine is really too light to be a good choice if you really want a 2k lift capacity.

We are developing a smallish piece of property to build a house on and ended up buying our first tractor about a month ago. I did a lot of research on capabilities and had a pretty good idea of what size machine we would need. After that, it really came down to visiting dealerships and driving/operating as many tractors as I could. You’ll be amazed how some will feel real comfortable for you and others you can’t wait to get off of. Everyone’s a$$ is made a little different but you’ll find what’s comfortable for you. We also put a lot of thought into a reputable dealer that was close to us for parts etc.

The t474 is a popular choice because it has the kukje engine which doesn’t use a lot of electronics to meet emissions rules. More than 35hp, but you would be getting more tractor for your money. There are those who say the Branson 4820 is a better choice because it's more substantially built, but apparently uses the same Kukje engine and also available through TYM dealers since TYM acquired Branson.

You can use the search tool to search for discussions on these models on TBN.

OP: how big a hurry are you for the tractor purchase? given so many big investments coming up for you, yes wise to post here for ideas. personally, i'd look at the options, step back, & make the informed decision later on. all too often, myself included, we get the purchasing fever, & sometimes make compulsive mistakes.

in addition, all too often on this site i see "wish i had gone bigger..." remember also that a spin around the dealer's lot is a poor simulation of your working field conditions. tractors have a habit sometimes of suddenly shrinking the moment they are delivered to your farm.... best of luck, regards
& welcome to this forum

Biggest you can afford is a good start.
Mahindra makes a good machine, some have TYM engines.

I’m not in a super big hurry, but it would be nice to have in the spring. I have a lot of dirt work to do as well as beds, limb/tree work, etc
