That's OK, we don't expect JD owners to be too observant /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

(Just kidding, I hope JD owners have a sense of humor)

That's why I love this forum. Here is a guy bashing the Orange family and we have someone like Neil with the connections who took care of the guy with information his dealer didn't give him for absolutely nothing.
With a short fuse like that maybe were better off if he leaves Orange behind for another color.

If you can't get on here and state your experiences, then this entire forum should be changed to the "We Love our Tractors and Never Have Any Problems.com" discussion board.

Making comments about specific dealers is one thing, but giving information about how the service has been on your particular brand of tractor is valuable information that members considering that tractor should take into account.

Just as it is in the real world, each member will have to evaluate the truthfullness of the claims mostly based on the history of the poster and the reputations he/she has built on this board..

It usually becomes obvious whan a poster begins telling whoppers about his experiences.

It has been my experience that when a Kubota owner makes a post to the effect of, "I'm having difficulty with X, and would like to know if any others have had this same problem and can offer me any ideas, suggestions, or help," the members here have been very sympathetic and eager to assist.

That's not what this guy did though. He let his problem build up to the boiling point, and then he made his first post one which unloaded his anger towards a group of people with whom he has never had any interaction. The words may not have specifically said it, but his tone and inference make it sound as if all the problems were the fault of the members here. It's like a bunch of kindergartners playing on the playground. Most are cooperating and having fun. Except that there's one little boy over in the corner not wanting to play with the others. Suddenly, out of the blue, he turns and screams at all the others, "Things aren't going my way. This is not fun. I'm mad at all of you so I'm taking my toys and going home. There, take that!" And he sticks out his tongue as he stomps off.

The man you're defending did more than "state his experiences." Rather than asking for help, he misdirected his anger towards strangers. That's not a successful strategy for succeeding in the world. Anyhow, by now, he should have grown out of childish ways and learned to behave like a man."

Re: Owned Kub\'s X 17 yrs, NO MORE! Getting a JD!

While out at my uncle's farm I noticed he had a brand new hay rake and commented on the design looking good. He walked me over and showed me how he had cut and welded on the rake to improve the design.

This is what I find here at TBN and what I like. If something isn't working right we can ask and bounce ideas around until a good solution is formulated.

Even in this thread solutions were given, pretty remarkable.

Re: Owned Kub\'s X 17 yrs, NO MORE! Getting a JD!

Tom, I question his motivation. What did he have 3 posts? I figure he's upset, scans the internet to tell everyone about his problem, finds TBN, signs up, and explains it hoping for a sympathetic ear or emapthetic at the very least, does not get it with a few exceptions and takes his ball home. I just don't go that way, maybe it's me. Neil find out his problem is unfounded. Do you expect he would show up with his tail between his legs. My guess is no. It's a lesson to learn from or what we say out here, "LEARNING CURVE" /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Its a lesson to take what you read here with a grain of salt. If I had missed reading that post then this would have never been corrected and many people could go on thinking that Kubota drops support for their equipment after just a few years. There is alot of knowledge on these forums, there is also alot of misinformation.

Here, here. Neil, you make an excellent point. Isn't that the truth.

Re: Owned Kub\'s X 17 yrs, NO MORE! Getting a JD!

Hello all. It's been awhile since I have been on the forum, but life goes on. Anyway, I was reading about Joe's problems with his MMM, whatever that is, and I just had to chime in. I just wanted to add that I am so unsatisfied with my 04 B7800, that I went out and added an 05 L4330 today!

My tractor business has finally prospered to a point where I needed to add additional resorces. If the L turns out to be half the tractor the B is I will be estatic. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
