Nice job
Now fetch a piece of pvc to strap to the frame to hold your welding rods.
Thanks!

I'll put them in a tube and hang the rods beside the striker... But you have a great idea:D
Nice cart. I like the four wheel drive/:D

Are you allowed to paint your tanks? I dont think i can (dont think id waste the paint if i was allowed :D). Mine get exchanged and the colour matters (some different gases are different colour tanks).
Thanks!... I don't think I'll paint the tanks now.. I'll make a couple socks like 4shorts did:D

These tanks mean a lot to me, because my friend that gave them to me died over 3-weeks ago.. He owns a auto-repair shop, and his brothers are running it now. He was the only one that done the welding when installing dual-exhaust.. I've been showing his younger brother how to weld now.. He was also married to my wife's cousin, and was like a brother to me after my only brother died.

He was 44-years old and died from a heart-attack.
Nice work salvaging that old hand truck, and making something truly useful out of it.
Thanks matt!
It's amazing what a person can find when you clean out an old building or barn:D...I still have 12 of the 10-inch wheels left.. I may make a cart like Jason did for my welders and plasma-cutter. Having all three on one cart.
A lot more fancy than mine:D

Nice job!

Mark
Thanks mark!

I don't think it's fancy:D... I was just trying to fix the wheels so they would have a wide wheel-span.. That way the tanks wouldn't fall over when using them on gravel.:D

Nice cart, Bill! I never thought of making a dually out of one!:D Usually when I think of something I have that I could use for a project it's after I've already bought or made something else!!

Jay

Thanks Jay!

When I started on the cart I was thinking of a way to make the wheel span wider, so it wouldn't tip over sideways.. I had a box full of the wheels, and the first thought was to make it with dual-wheels.:D... If I get a flat on a wheel while using it, then I can still push it around:D

Man I got to tell you that you got one nice slick looking cart. I never thought one could take an old hand cart and turn it into something cool plus functional like that. As for the color of the bottles. When I built my "Crazy Cart" I made a sock to cover the Argon bottle.

Great job there buddy. Love the outcome. Oh. I have orange paint left over from a job if you would like to have it :D;)

Thanks Paul!

Oh 4shorts put you stinkin sock back on. :D:D:D

I remember seeing the sock/cover on your tank before, but didn't know you made it.. I thought you might have bought it somewhere.:D

Where can you buy the material to make the sock ?

I think I'll pass on the orange paint.~ You can keep it:D... If you need any "green"paint let me know:D:D

Bill the material was purchased at Wal-Mart. It's almost like a spandex type material and easy to work with. I used it on my Tig cart because Tig welding don't create sparks ( or at least not many). In the case of a O&A application you may want to use a material less flammable. Again. Great job on the cart. You made us proud ;)

Oh come on. You know Orange is faster than green! :p

Thanks for the info!

Since that type of material is flammable and if I used it, then I could have my tanks away from where I'm working... My hoses are 50ft. in length.

I like to have my tanks a safe distance away, just in case something should happen.

You remember me telling you about "BO" who passed away a month ago today.... He gave me these tanks full a long time ago, and instead of exchanging them for full tanks, I've taken them to have them refilled... and I plan to keep the ones that he gave me.

And I like the acetylene tank better than some of the other tanks, because of the shut-off valve.. On some of the ones like we used in the coalmines you needed the wrench to shut it off.

I didn't know orange was faster than green... I thought 'green paint' dried faster than 'orange paint. :p :D:D

4shorts, I like your fancy set up.
Your fenders & spare tire give it extra pizzaz.

I didn't know Cadillac made welding carts. :D

LOOKS GREAT!!
I like the dual wheels. They look good and will help keep it stable when going over uneven ground.

I also like the idea of still being able to use the cart if a tire is flat.
I have one of those Harbor Freight carts which has the 20" bicycle tires, and it seems that everytime I use it, one of the tires is always flat or low.

Thanks Ronnie. Glad you like my Crazy Cart. It was a fun project. It's used in my shop every day so it's a practical cart as well. Much appreciated. Paul
